Hello, my name is Natalya Green, and I am now a digital creative writer. Throughout this class, I've gained new skills when it comes to the digital world of writing and art, and have gotten to explore different mediums with this. Learning how to navigate this digital space has been very enticing, and I have enjoyed making these small projects in class. This process I do feel as definately changed myself as a writer, and how I look at writing. Looking at myself as a writer has always been a physical sense. Whether writing on paper or in my journal, writing for me has always been in a personal space. When trying out Digital writting, it has changed my perspective and how I look at writing as a whole. Writing in a digitial space has allowed more options for how I want to create my works, as well what story I want to tell. It alters the way I storytell, and the way I want my writing to look. Its given me more options on how I want to portray my writing, as well as how I want to potentially publish it.
Looking at the things I've done for this class has been interesting. The Electronic Literature review has given me a new lense on telling a story and making it stick in a digital sense. Playing through the game I did not only set the mood, but also told an intriguing story in a way that couldnt be told in a different space other than digital.Puting an established short story into an ebook format was something I had never done before, and was fun to do. Although I don't think I'd want this particular short story to be in this format, it was fun to play around with it, and to see how to make an ebook itself. It inspires me for when I do want to publish my writing one day. Lastl, the Twine story was the assignment I enjoyed the most when working on it. Thinking of multiple endings in a story was really fun, and crafting this idea of time travel in a digital format was really exciting for me. Although I have finished the story, I might play around with it more, to make it more advanced and layered. I had a lot of fun working on it, and it would be cool to make it more developed and have even more endings to it. Overall, this digital writing class has been really fun for me, and eye opening for how I not only write in this digital space, but create overall. I have learned a lot from this class, and I will continue to use the skills I have learned as I grow as a writer.
